The 2022 Riesling Forster Kirchenstück Grosses Gewächs was drawn from used tonneau and is the first sample still showing some reduction. Underneath, a pure tone of Amalfi lemon emerges. The creamy palate, for now, propels paler lemon, but the riper overtone still sets an accent. Slight astringency, very fine, coats the mouth and lemony freshness, and oak phenolics make for a long finish.
