A ruby-red wine with dense, difficultly precipitated arches. On the nose, it is spicy, fruity and toasty. Elegance is the greatest characteristic of this Rossese; the aromas are very intense and easy to distinguish such as blackberries, wild berries (‘merelli’ dialect term), mulberry, raisin rose, tobacco and white pepper. On the palate, softness, glycerine and alcohol predominate, supported, however, by a good freshness and discreteness and savouriness, with a characteristic bitter aftertaste, all tied together in a pleasant harmonious thread.
