Chardonnay from Mesnil and Pinot Noir from Ambonnay. Very elegant wine, reflection of two Grand Cru terroirs, Brut Rosé is the result of a blend of Chardonnay from our Domaine (75%) and of Pinot Noir. This wine with subtle aromas will be appreciated for aperitif and with red fruits desserts. Professional note: Vinous Rating: 90 The NV (2013) Brut Rosé comes across as tightly wound and not fully expressive. Powerful, intense but also a bit compact, the Brut Rosé could use a bit of time to open up. Even so, I imagine it will always be somewhat austere. This is by far the most reticent wine I tasted from Moncuit this year. The Rosé is a blend of 75% Chardonnay from Le Mesnil sur Oger and 25% Pinot Noir from Ambonnay. Dosage is 8 grams per liter. Disgorged: February 2015.
