Winemaker Pierre Bannwarth now works alongside dad Stéphane at their family winery Domaine Laurent Bannwarth (which we also work with). He joined the Pirouettes collective in 2022. His wines are just like him: bubbly and authentic!
Vineyard: Limestone and clay. Organic vineyard, Demeter certified.
Grapes: 50% Muscat, 50% Gewurztraminer
Making of: Grapes are hand-harvested when ripe and sorted in the vineyards. 100% destemmed and macerated on the skins for 5 days, with regular foot crushing. Elevage on the fine lees in stainless steel vats for 6 months. Bottled with zero addition of sulfur, unfined and unfiltered.
Personality: Juicy, tropical fruits on a dry palate. Gorgeous with lightly spicy dishes (think Thai food) or alongside a backyard BBQ.
