100% Ull de Llebre (aka - Tempranillo) Maceration with its own skins. Made from a 0.85 hectare vineyard located in the Municipality of Vilafranca del Penedès. Hand harvested, destemmed and macerated for 5 days with its skins in stainless steel tanks. It gets devatted by gravity and aged for 9 months in stainless steel tanks. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and zero SO2. Annual production is around 3,820 bottles.
Shockingly (or maybe not, since it is Joan Rubió after all) this wine is bursting with freshness. So bright, rose petals, grass/hay, a little trapped CO2 on opening makes it feel a touch like pop rocks (in a good way that isn't very intrusive). Clean, super flavorful, and really nice to sip on without being cloying or exhaustive at all.
