100% Pais. A new wine to our portfolio this vintage, and the second time that Gustavo has made this collaborative wine with a farmer-friend named Leonel, who runs and manages this old vineyard planted in the early 1900s (and where Gustavo made his first wine in 2015)! The Name "Kabreria" comes from the region where these grapes come from, a flat area in Portezuelo but at high elevation.
Grapes are hand harvested, 70% are whole cluster for carbonic maceration and 30% traditional (PipeƱo method) of being destemmed, manually punched down, and fermented in open tanks with native yeasts for 2 weeks. Kept in old used barrels for 10 months. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, with no stabalization or corrections.
Total production is 1,200 bottles.
