Spicy oak but nothing sweet here. Rather austere, with cured meat, smoke, iron and grilled herbs to the black and blue fruit. I like the crunch and the vibrancy here on the palate with bright acidity and tight and nicely chewy tannins. Slimmer than most Ribera del Dueros, but with good flavor concentration. 98% Tempranillo and 2% Merlot.
