Domaine La Providence La Providence Blanc 2022 750ml

45% Ugni Blanc/30% Clairette/25% Vermentino. This wine is new estate Domaine La Providence's first white in bottle. In the northwest corner of Provence at 280-300 meters above sea level, the vines are planted on marine-originated soils that are sandy, silty, stony, rich in limestone and low on clay. The farming is certified-organic and the harvest is manual. The three varieties are vinified separately, utilizing a mix of direct-press and brief macerations. Fermentations are spontaneous with native yeasts only in fiberglass eggs and wooden tanks, in which the wines are aged as well for several months. The final wine is blended and bottled without fining or filtration and very modest amount of sulfur. La Providence lies within the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence AOC, but the family is opting for Vin de France classification for this pale gold, creamy, saline white.
