Winemaker’s note: “Two single plots of Grüner Veltliner from a brilliant vintage
culminate in a multidimensional experience on the palate. Following the idea of single vineyards, vintage 2022 first gave us the opportunity to catch the microcosmos of both Veltliner-vineyards, that create this wine, in single barrels.
Through straight forward calcareous sharpness the juice of the one showed the fascinating and complex layers of the lacustrine limestone soil profile of this old vineyard, while the second, cultivated in double plant system on a steep schist soil slope, presented itself exotic, voluptuous and hedonistically animating on the palate.
The temptation to bottle such wines separately is huge, but combined the two seem
to expand their aromatic dimension many times over, adding layers and length on
the palate. The calculation clearly goes 1+1=3.”
