One of my favorite estates in not only Germany but the entire world of wine, is Dönnhoff. The purity and class portrayed in their wines, the beautiful, deathly steep Grand Cru vineyards they own, the precision of their wines, the quintessential Nahe pineapple fruit penetrated with slate-like minerality, are second to none. It is a winery steeped in tradition for over 200 years, and it's been passed on from generation to generation, now run by son, Cornelius. From the dry to the sweet, from the village to the Grosses Gewachs wines, the electricity, balance, and impeccable winemaking and inimitable terroir are on full display. This is by far, one of the greatest estates not only in Germany, but in the world. It seems like a no-brainer to reintroduce this estate with Dönnhoff's 2023s, which have just received embarrassingly high scores for the vintage--all the way up to 100 point perfection.

We have a very limited amount of these wines, with the Grosses Gewachs capped at just 12 bottles. Do not miss your chance to get some of the wines of the vintage. Do not be afraid to lay these down in the cellar, even the entry level Kabinett and Spatlese, you will always be rewarded by aged riesling of this caliber.
