Olga Raffault Chinon "Le Picasses" 2018 750ml

100% Cabernet Franc from 50+ year old organic vines in the best vineyard in Chinon, Les Picasses, on a steep slope on the north bank of the Vienne river. The grapes hand harvested and destemmed, but the berries are kept whole, then wild fermented in steel for 30 days and aged in a mix of large old oak and chestnut barrels for 3 years, then tank and bottle for another year. On the full side of medium bodied with spiced dark berry fruit, plum and roasted peppers.
