Moulin de Gassac Pays d'Oc Pinot Noir 2024 750ml

I just can't quit this little Pinot.  THERE IS SO MUCH TRASH PINOT ON THE MARKET AT THIS PRICE.  Gassac is the opposite, this is a winery that creates some of the best wines in the Languedoc-Roussillon in Southern France, especially under their main Mas de Daumas Gassac label, which has been called the Chateau Lafite of the Languedoc.  The Moulin de Gassac line is their value driven line that was started in the 90s as a way to save old vine plots from other vineyard owners in this unique area. So this is essentially their negociant project, but held to the same standards as their Mas de Daumas wines, which is a completely biodiverse estate.  This pinot is REAL and has so much SOUL for the price.  Medium bodied, dusty red fruits. perfect balance, and beautifully integrated tannins on the finish.  When i drink this I feel like I am transported to southern France and this is what I would be served at the local bistro for lunch with fresh cheeses, veggies, and warm baguette.
