Gold Capsule: Sweet Quality level: Beerenauslese Vineyard: The grapes for this wine come from a variety of Molitor's vineyards along the Mosel river. The slate soil imparts minerality and focus to the finished wine. Vinification: The grapes, or better raisins, were harvested at perfect ripeness. Individual grapes were identified and left to hang on the vine until the perfect, healthy grape was ready. At the end of harvest, the grapes were ground and macerated for several hours. After a gentle pressing, the must was spontaneously fermented and aged several months on the lees in stainless steel. Grape varieties: Riesling Soil: Slate Alcohol: 6.5%
