Stefan Steinmetz took over his family’s estate in 1999 when he was just 18 years old. Since then, he has mastered the classic, feather-light, mineral-driven, long-lived style of Middle Mosel Riesling, achieving “must-have” status among collectors. He farms on steep slopes in many of the greatest vineyard sites in Germany, including the ancient, steep cliffs of blue slate in the Piesporter Godltropfchen. Steinmetz vinifies his wines with spontaneous fermentations in old wooden casks. This vividly fruity Kabinett sports approximately 50g/l RS, resulting in a sweet, mineral driven, exquisitely balanced wine that will evolve for decades.
