Emme Wines Carignan Ricetti Vineyard For you, Anything Redwood Valley 2022 750ml

Organic. 100% Carignan, drawn from the single vineyard Ricetti in the Redwood Valley AVA in Mendocino. Winemaker Rosalind Reynolds notes that ‘For You, Anything’ is “a companion wine to enhorabuena rosé from the spring. This fall Carignan is the same fruit from the same vineyard picked on the same day, but treated differently in the cellar.” This wine was partially foot-crushed whole cluster into stainless steel. It stayed on skins for eight days, slowly fermenting and becoming further crushed. After those days, the wine was pressed off, and it finished fermenting in stainless. It was then moved to neutral oak barriques to age for five months sur lie. In late March, the barriques of Carignan were racked to tank for bottling. Unfined, unfiltered, 20ppm SO2 added at bottling. Bright, zippy, and brambly, with California Carignan’s characteristic gemmy red fruit.
