The 2022 Volnay Clos de Verseuil 1er Cru the first parcel to be picked this vintage was fully de-stemmed with 25% new oak. The complex bouquet is a mélange of red and black fruit Earl Grey light marine aromas and a touch of iodine. Complex and engaging. The palate is medium-bodied with quite strict tannins on the entry. One of the most structured Volnay wines from Clerget there is a slight brusqueness towards the finish that will be addressed during the second winter in tank. Fine sapidity. (Drink between 2027-2047)
