Domaine Tempier Bandol Rouge Lulu & Lucien 2022 750ml

Named in honor of the much-loved and greatly missed founders of the estate, who not only built up Tempier from ruins during tumultuous and trying times, but also helped to bring the luster back to the long-neglected Bandol region as a whole. Tempier says this is their signature Bandol; it’s a blend of dark fruit and vibrant stony minerality—a classic expression of what they do best.

Producer notes: "In 2020 Mrs Lucie Peyraud, better known as Lulu, passed away soon after the harvest, at the age of 103. She joined her husband Lucien in ‘Winemakers’ Paradise.’ To express our gratitude to these renowned persons of the domain (and the region), the family has decided to rename our basic «Classic» cuvée: 'Lulu & Lucien' upon release of the 2020 red wines. This name will no doubt live on in the years to come. We wish you a pleasant discovery of this new label, an energetic and consistent wine that resembles its namesakes. Long live the memory of Lulu and Lucien!"
