Domaine Rougeot Volnay 1er Cru Santenots 2022 750ml

The “Les Santenots” plot is located in the northern part of Meursault, facing South-East, next to Volnay in the lower part of the village. This plot is classified as a Volnay 1er Cru for reds and as a Meursault 1er Cru for whites. This wine is a beautiful 1er Cru, very feminine in style, with plenty of silky tannins. The mouthfeel is complex, with some earthy flavors and a long finish. It will take three to four years to be at its peak. However, if you want decant it for an hour before serving, it will help open the wine up. The aging potential is long, around 10-12 years. It goes well with a very large array of cheeses made with cows milk, steak, pasta, stronger style of cured meat, and game.
