Domaine Forey Pere & Fils Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru Les Vergelesses Blanc 2023 1.5L

Beginning in 2023, Forey took ownership of a 0.3-hectare parcel of 30-year-old Chardonnay (formerly part of Domaine Lucien Jacob) in the renowned Savigny-les-Beaune premier cru Les Vergelesses, situated in the easternmost sector of the appellation, adjacent to Pernand-Vergelesses. Vinified in stainless steel and aged eight months in 228-liter barrels, 15% of which are new, this offers frank, punchy, Pernand-like minerality, sleek green fruit, and a through-line of acidity which supports rather than dominates.
