Tank Rosé is back baby! Our delicious, red-fruited, dry, crisp, organic rosé in a box! We rolled out with this for the first time about five years ago and it took the shop by storm. Each year we field a lot of the "when is that box rose coming back again?" question. Have no fear, it is in stock now and ready to rock.
Everyone box wine is suspect in my opinion, as boxed wines get a (mostly) bad wrap, but From the Tank comes in through a serious importer of only small-production, high-quality, organic, and natural wines. And this is small production, about 1000 6-packs come into the tri-state. It's actually blended and made specifically for our market here in NY by the winemaker of a small family-run winery in the Costieres des Nimes in the southern Rhone valley named Domaine de la Patience (Patience is the name of a wild herb that grows in the region).
A blend of Grenache and Syrah, it's pretty much everything you'd want in a chuggable rosé. Dry, nice round berry fruits, crisp finish, it's just flat-out delicious. We keep one in our fridge at all times, it's great for that easy glass of wine (or two!) after work and it's easy to transport to the lake, boat, park, etc.
One warning--even though it's 3 Liters of wine (4 bottles), it goes pretty quick, so you might want an extra as a backup as I can't say how long it will be in stock. We were only able to get about 60 boxes to start. You can't beat the price which is the equivalent of $7.49 a btl! Or buy a 3-pack and it comes down to $6.49!
