Casa Balaguer Alicante Moscatel Benimaquia Tinajas 2021 750ml

Moscatel (and a tiny bit of Merseguera) grown organically over sandy-saline soils and harvested according to the biodynamic calendar close to the ocean near the "Parc Natural de Las Lagunas." Ungrafted vines are over 50 years old. Grapes are hand harvested, destemmed but not crushed, fermented with wild yeasts in clay amphora. Aged 6 months on the skins in amphora before being pressed off and aged a further 10 months in the same amphora. Bottled without additions of SO2. No fining or filtration. Intense amber in color, notes of orange blossom, stone fruit, and pronounced acidity.
