Selected from parcels within 6ha of estate vineyards grown organically over sandy granite soils at an elevation of 250m. Vines range from 25-50 years as well as some older parcels of 100+ years. The blend is 90% Albariño & 10% Treixadura, hand harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. Aging continues in 2,000L French oak cask without bâtonnage and the majority aged in stainless steel, for 15 months. Blended and slight filtration and SO2 at bottling. Bottles rest a minimum of 6 months before their release in Fall of 2023. Annual production is 5,463 bottles.
2021 vintage can be considered a "cold vintage" - an early spring budding, optimal flowering, followed by a "bad summer" - with much less hours of sunlight which delayed the ripening meaning more slow and even phenolic maturation.
