Weingut Lauer Riesling "Neuenberg" Trocken No. 17 2023 750ml

The 2023 Neuenberg N°17, as it is referred to in the central part of the label, is a dry wine (with 9 g/l of residual sugar) made from fruit picked in this prime Lieu-Dit forming the south-southwest facing, central part of the original Kupp hill (at the foot of the hill). It offers a rather ripe and broad nose made of melon, cardamom, pear, aniseed herbs, and smoke. It is smooth and round on the palate and leaves a nice sense of herbs and spices in the long and subtly suave finish. The aftertaste is delicate, a touch round but quite complex.
