"Vino Nato Disobbediente literally translates to "wine born disobedient."

Im not exactly sure where Carlo Venturini and his wife Alessandra Zantedeschi got the name from, but it certainly bucks the system that has a stronghold on the wines of Valpolicella in the Veneto in Northwest Italy.  A region known for big, high alcohol, conventionally farmed vines from producers of Amarone and also international varieties. Carlo and Allesandro decided to work not only with traditional Valpolicella varieties but also farm the organically and biodynamically, in the traditional pergola-style trellis system (literally vines growing above your head trained over a pergola).  it is rare to find biodynamically farmed vines this far north in Italy.

Vino Nato Disobbediente is 50% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella & 10% Molinara & Oseleta. It sees a short maceration on the skins, keeping it fresh, lighter in color, highly drinkable, and low on tannins. The grapes are biodynamically farmed vines in pergola on restored ancient terraces on a prime south-facing hill in front of the winery. No oak, aged in cement, and bottled unfined and unfiltered with low amounts of sulfur. It's a low 10.5% alcohol and sports a full liter bottle under screwcap as well.  This was a wine mainly produced just for the family and their friends to drink.  This is exactly the style of wine you would imagine to be the producers house wine--jovial, fresh, able to be paired with many foods, or drunk by itself. It is sneaky ripe though, not thin, and has a supple, pure side to it.  Theres no "edges-- its straight up glou glou gulpable porch pounding chillable red wine.  Theres notes of dark cherry & light sweet sage, Perfect with a slight chill in the summer, and bold enough to drink in the cooler weather as well-- its a year round bottle.

To boot, this wine comes in through one of my all-time favorite importers of small production, real wine, LOUIS DRESSNER.  Famed importer of some of the finest French and Italian wines ever imported into the US, with a focus natural wines.

So join me in being a badass, break some rules, and grab this liter of straight up deliciousness.  We have locked down every single bottle available at the importer, its that good.  Only 6 cases are available.
