This is one of the Flagship wines from Joan Rubio. 100% Xarello from a small plot of 0.5 hectares (certified organic and worked biodynamically) located in front of the house. The name of the farmhouse is Cal Tiques (Cal in Catalan means the house of). The soil is very deep calcareous clay. The grapes are hand harvested, macerated in its skins for around 7 days, devatted by gravity without pressing and aged in red clay amphoras for around 4 months. Truly a beautiful wine - clean, mineral, hints of fennel and lemon, with bright elegance! LIMITED production - around 1,450 bottles.
